Fabclay is a research project that combines novel robotic tools and mud construction, an ancient zero-carbon technique. It is a building material that is used around the globe, with extraordinary thermal inertia properties allowing significant energy reduction for cooling and heating. The project explores the possibilities of on-site 3D printing complex clay structures with three different purpose-built nozzles.
